Why I'm Rebuilding Networkzero

Twenty-five years ago, I started Networkzero to build things. Hosting, infrastructure, custom software — whatever needed to exist, I built it.
That's still what I do. But something has shifted that I haven't seen before in two and a half decades of watching this industry change.
What Actually Changed
I've shipped software through every major platform shift: desktop to web, web to mobile, client-server to cloud. Each wave was real. But this one is different in a specific way — it's not a new deployment target or a new interface pattern. It's a multiplier on what a single experienced builder can actually produce.
Here's a concrete example. AnchorPoint — a full multi-tenant SaaS platform for camp and retreat organizations — has 60+ database tables, 100+ API endpoints, a drag-and-drop form builder, a multi-role RBAC system, Stripe payment plans, and a real-time occupancy engine. It's processing hundreds of thousands of dollars in real transactions. I built it alone, post-October 2025, in a matter of months.
That wasn't possible before. Not at that pace. Not at that scope.
The bottleneck has shifted from writing code to knowing what to build and how to structure it. AI tools handle a lot of the former. The latter — knowing which abstractions will hold, where the data model will crack under load, which edge cases will become support tickets — that's what twenty-five years buys you. The tools amplify it.
Why Reposition Now
I kept my head down for most of those two and a half decades. Clients came through referrals. I built, delivered, and moved on. Low visibility, deliberate.
That worked when the market for "good developer who ships things" was stable and findable by word of mouth. That market is not stable anymore. The demand for AI-native builds — real LLM integrations, RAG systems, agentic workflows, automation pipelines — has gone vertical. And most of the people offering to build these things assembled their first one six months ago.
I've been building production AI systems since March 2022. Not demos. Not tutorials. Custom context memory frameworks, RAG pipelines, agent orchestration layers — in production, on real platforms, for real users. I have a track record that most people entering this space simply don't have yet.
So now I'm making it visible.
What NT0 Is Now
NT0 is a Fractional CTO + AI Lead practice. Concretely:
- I build AI features and systems that work in production, not just in demos
- I prototype faster than any agency can, because I'm not staffing up for your project — I'm already there
- I work directly with founders and operators, not through layers of project management
- I'm opinionated about architecture in ways that save you pain at month six, not month one
The platforms I've built since October 2025 — AnchorPoint, Tenantwise, the MSP automation platform — are all live and processing real business. That's the foundation NT0 is built on.
The name Networkzero has always meant: start from zero, build something real. That hasn't changed. The tools have — and so has what's possible with them.
